FAQs

Be prepared for your Rope Runner Adventure and know before you go.
How do I book my Rope Runner session? + -

The recommended option is to book your adventure online, but walk-ins are welcome subject to availability. It is highly recommended that you book in advance as we tend to be very busy and our sessions have limited places. Booking in advance will ensure that you have a spot available at the date and time you want.

When do I need to arrive? + -
We recommend that you plan to arrive 20-30 minutes before your scheduled session time. This is to make sure you are checked-in, waivers are signed and you are ready to be harnessed when the session starts. All sessions start promptly on the hour and on the half hour with a safety briefing, late arrivals will forfeit their booking. Arrive early so you don’t miss out!
Do I have to sign a waiver? + -
Everyone must sign a waiver. All children under the age of 19 must have parents sign a waiver prior to accessing the park. You can sign the waiver when you arrive at the park, however, if parent or guardian will not be present, please sign the waiver here.
Can I reschedule or cancel my booking? + -
Yes, you can cancel with a full refund or reschedule up to 48 hours prior to your session. Cancellations made within 48 hours will forfeit the entire booking cost. Groups of 10+ and Birthdays can cancel or reschedule up to 7 days prior to their session and 14 days for School groups. Please Note any special event or special deals may hold their own separate Terms & Conditions.
Why do I need to schedule at a specific time? + -
At any given time, the park can accommodate up to 60 guests. To ensure that everyone who plans to go rope running that day has access to a harness and the elements, we need to book sessions. Sessions are scheduled every half an hour, and each session last for 2 hours starting with a brief safety briefing.
What happens in bad weather? + -

Rope Runner Park is open rain or shine and it is the ultimate all-weather outdoor activity. Please come prepared in the appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.

In some extreme weather conditions, such as high winds of above 61 km/hr and local thunderstorms we may be forced to close the park. If we decide to close the park, we will call in advance to organize full refunds/rescheduling. If you are in the park climbing but less than halfway into your session, we will organize full refunds/rescheduling as well.

What if I’m late? + -
In fairness to all guests, we don’t delay our session start times. If there is availability in the upcoming session time, we can book you into the next one. If there is not, any late arrivals without prior notice will forfeit their booking with no refund or reschedule. Please check traffic reports especially on busy holiday weekends, and arrive 30 minutes before your session.
What if I don’t show up for a booking on the day? + -
Participants with reserved bookings who fail to show for their reserved booking time and provide no prior notice of cancellation are liable for the entire fee. The No-Show Policy as set forth here is applicable to all participants, including individual participants within a group booking.
How does the safety system work? + -
We use full body harnesses combined with Clic-it® continuous belay system. The Clic-it® system prevents accidental unclipping, as when one carabiner is open, the second one is automatically locked.
Will the harness fit me? Can I bring my own harness? + -
Our full body harnesses are one size fits all and no other safety equipment is allowed.
Are there physical requirements? + -
Your entire body will work out but you do NOT need to be an athlete to be a Rope Runner. Sufficient manual dexterity is needed to be able to maneuver round the park independently. If you are able to pull yourself a few inches off the ground with your arms and walk up 2 set of stairs you can do it! Guests with special requirements are required to visit the park and meet with our guides to determine if they can climb.
Can I be a Rope Runner if I am afraid of heights? + -
If you are worried about your legs and hands shaking, do not fear you are not alone. This is a great activity to overcome those challenges and conquer your fear of heights. Our guides are there to assist and coach you throughout this aerial journey. Opt Out Policy: Climbers who decide they are not ready to climb in the Rope Runner Aerial Park are entitled to a full refund. Refunds will only be given if the climber exits the park and asks for a refund within 15 minutes from the end of their briefing.
Can I do the course if I have a pre-existing medical condition? + -
We strongly advise guests with pre-existing medical conditions to check with their doctor prior rope running in our park. Our staff are not trained medical professionals and cannot assess the impact of your pre-existing condition.
Can I do the course if I’m pregnant? + -
It is not recommended, but only your doctor can advise you about risks.
Is there a Guide with me on the tower? + -
You will receive a safety briefing and demonstration by our trained guides before you begin your adventure. You will be monitored by our trained guides while in the park. The guides can provide assistance if needed and give you tips and tricks to conquer the obstacles and to ensure that you are safe and having fun.
Can my friends & family watch from the ground? + -

All are welcome to visit the Squamish Adventure Centre with their friends and family. We also encourage all of our Guests to explore Squamish and all its natural surroundings.
